Identifier Attributes for SKU Prefix Search
Layers now supports an identifier attribute class for metafields holding codes shoppers type verbatim: MPNs, style numbers, UPCs. SKU prefix search matches these against SKU, barcode, and every identifier metafield, at both product and variant level.
Assign the class yourself, or let Layers detect it automatically once enough products carry code-like values in a metafield. An identifier attribute can't also be searchable, and each store can classify up to five.
