What's newin Layers

Combine a variant filter like size or color with in-stock, and get back only products where the same variant matches both.

Classify metafields holding MPNs, style numbers, or UPCs as identifiers so SKU prefix search matches them too.

When you explicitly ask, an MCP-connected agent can now publish a merchandising rule or sort order change straight to your storefront, skipping the review step entirely.

Layers now reviews your named tags the same way it reviews metafields, turning search on for the ones worth indexing and keeping the rest out of every product.

Override the default signal mix for specific queries with a new ranking rule action.

Autocomplete suggestions now adapt to each shopper's country, with a store-wide fallback for smaller regions.

A new Shopify Flow trigger and action let Layers place newly discovered facet values into your existing groups automatically.

Content search results now include a direct storefront URL and the article’s blog title, so you don’t have to build links yourself.

Layers now reviews your metafield definitions automatically and turns search on for the ones worth indexing.

Open a product list for any facet value or group right from the Faceting tab, scoped to what shoppers can actually filter to.

A facet value can now belong to more than one group at once, so shared values like split sizes appear everywhere shoppers expect.

Filter and facet search and browse results by local pickup location and distance.
