Change Featured Media in Merchandising

Override the image shown for any pinned product.

When you pin a product in a merchandising rule, you can now choose which image appears on the collection tile. Click the featured media button on any pinned product to open a media picker with every available image — product photos, variant images, and metafield images. Select the image you want and save. The override applies instantly to storefront search and browse results wherever the pin is active.

• Campaign imagery — Feature a lifestyle or seasonal photo without changing the product in Shopify
• Variant spotlight — Show a specific colorway on the collection page, independent of the default variant
• Metafield images — Surface images from custom metafields that wouldn't normally appear as the tile image

If a customer applies a variant filter, the override steps aside so the filtered variant's actual image is shown. When a product syncs from Shopify, any override pointing to a deleted image is automatically cleared.
