Improved Safety Guardrails for Text Search & Visual Discovery
We’ve added new safety guardrails across Layers’ Text Search, Visual Discovery, and media-driven features to ensure safer, more trustworthy experiences for your customers.
What’s new
- Harmful content filtering Text queries and search outputs now automatically filter out harmful, hateful, or unsafe content. This prevents inappropriate terms from being searched, indexed, or returned in product results.
- Safer Visual Discovery Images submitted through Visual Discovery or image-based search are now evaluated with expanded safety rules to prevent unsafe or sensitive content from being analyzed or matched.
- CSAM scanning for uploaded media Media uploaded for search is now scanned using industry-standard detection systems to ensure no child sexual abuse material is ever accepted or processed.
These improvements strengthen Layers’ safety posture while maintaining fast performance and high-quality search results. No configuration is required — everything is enabled automatically.
