Search Just Got Smarter
Today, we are launching an updated version of the Layers search engine. Key improvements include:
Results that match what shoppers mean, not just what they type
Layers now interpret search intent more accurately. For example, a search for "red running shoes" will only display relevant running shoes, excluding unrelated items such as generic “red sneakers”. Irrelevant products and categories are automatically filtered.
Exact matches get priority
Products that exactly match a shopper’s search term now appear at the top of results, reducing the need to sort through unrelated items.

Fewer irrelevant results
We have increased the relevance standards for search results. Shoppers will now see only products that closely match their queries, making it easier to find and purchase items.
Specific searches stay specific.
For detailed searches, such as "lightweight waterproof hiking jacket for women," the engine now delivers highly targeted results and does not broaden or overly filter.
This update is being rolled out to all stores today. No action is required; the improvements will be applied automatically.
