Segmented Metrics in Sort Orders Now Generally Available

You can now use segmented metrics to personalize product rankings automatically. This lets you rank or boost products differently depending on where your customers are coming from or who they are. For example:

  • By marketing source: Show different product rankings for visitors from paid ads, organic search, or email campaigns.
  • By language or market: Use the right performance data automatically for each Shopify Market or translation.

The system automatically chooses the most relevant metric value based on each visitor’s context. If segment-specific data isn’t available, it falls back to the overall metric value so that everyone still sees ranked results.
